WASHINGTON – The United States Mint will open sales for the 2017 United States Mint Silver Proof Set® (product code 17RH) on June 7 at noon Eastern Time (ET).
This set is priced at $47.95 and contains the following coins:
- Five silver Quarters from the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program honoring Effigy Mounds National Monument (IA); Frederick Douglass National Historic Site (DC); Ozark National Scenic Riverways (MO); Ellis Island (New Jersey); and George Rogers Clark National Historical Park (IN).
- One Native American $1 Coin with a reverse design featuring a profiled likeness of Sequoyah writing “Sequoyah from Cherokee Nation” in syllabary along the border of the design. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES of AMERICA,” “$1” and “Sequoyah” written in English in the field of the design.
- One Kennedy silver half dollar
- One Roosevelt silver dime
- One Jefferson nickel
- One Lincoln penny
The quarters, half dollar, and dime are struck in 90 percent silver. All coins bear the “S” mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco. Each set includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

WASHINGTON — The United States Mint will accept orders for products with the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program coin honoring Ozark National Scenic Riverways in Missouri starting on June 5 at noon Eastern Time (ET).
The coin’s reverse (tails) design depicts Alley Mill, a steel roller mill built in 1894. This merchant mill was used to convert wheat into flour. Much of the original milling equipment is still in place, and visitors to the park can tour the mill. The obverse (heads) design features the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan.

Coins in the rolls and bags are struck on the main production floors at the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. The three-roll set contains coins from all three facilities. Unlike the “P” and “D” mint mark quarters, those with the “S” mint mark will not be released into circulation.
The special numismatic wrapping for the coin rolls displays the name “Ozark National Scenic Riverways”; the abbreviation “MO” for Missouri; “$10,” the face value of its contents; and “P,” “D,” or “S” for the mint of origin. The canvas bags have a tag with “Ozark National Scenic Riverways;” “MO;” and “P,” “D,” or “S.”

WASHINGTON – The United States Mint (Mint) will open sales for the 2017 American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin (product code17EH) on June 1 at noon Eastern Time (ET).
This coin is a collector version of the Mint’s American Eagle Gold Bullion Coin. Struck at the United States Mint at West Point, the obverse (heads) features a version of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Its reverse (tails), by sculptor Miley Busiek, features a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and eaglets.
Each coin is encapsulated in plastic and packaged in a presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity. Customer demand will determine the number of coins produced.
Pricing for the 2017 American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin will be based on the Mint’s pricing schedule for products containing gold. WASHINGTON – The United States Mint (Mint) today announced that it is discontinuing all mail orders effective September 30, 2017.
The Mint will return any mail orders received after September 30 with instructions for placing orders online or by phone.
The consumer products industry is increasingly adopting Web-based sales channels, including mobile applications, that give the public more efficient, cost-effective, and faster ways to purchase products. The Mint is following this trend in an effort to better serve all its customers, and provide a more convenient and consistent ordering experience.

The United States Mint will host a coin forum the evening before the launch ceremony-Sunday, June 4, 2017, 6-7 p.m. CT-at the Echo Bluff State Park, Nixon Room, 34489 Echo Bluff Drive, Eminence, MO 65466. The coin forum is an opportunity for the public to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives, and express their views about future coinage.
The Ozark National Scenic Riverways quarter is the 38th release in the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program, a 12-year initiative that honors 56 national parks and other national sites authorized by Public Law 110-456. Each year, the public will see five new national sites depicted on the reverses (tails sides) of the America the Beautiful Quarters. The United States Mint is issuing these quarters in the order in which the national sites were officially established.

WASHINGTON — The United States Mint will begin accepting orders for the 2017 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set® (product code 17RJ) on May 17 at noon Eastern Time (ET).
This year’s set consists of 20 coins—one folder of ten coins from the Philadelphia Mint and one folder of ten coins from the Denver Mint. Coins in each folder include:

United States Mint uncirculated coins are struck on special presses using greater force than circulating coins, producing a sharp, intricately detailed image. The coins are sealed in a blister and displayed in a folder. One folder contains coins bearing the “P” mint mark and the other contains coins bearing the “D” mint mark.
2017 marks the 225th anniversary of the United States Mint. To mark this momentous occasion, we are proud to introduce for the first time a “P” mint mark on the Lincoln penny in the Philadelphia folder.

WASHINGTON – The United States Mint 2017 American Buffalo One Ounce Gold Proof Coin (product code 17EL) will be available for purchase beginning on May 11 at noon Eastern Time (ET).
Produced since 2006, this .9999 fine, 24-karat gold coin features designs that are based on the original 1913 Type I Buffalo nickel designed by James Earle Fraser. The obverse (heads) design portrays a profile representation of a Native American, while the reverse (tails) features an American Buffalo (also known as a bison).
Each coin is presented in an elegant matte-finish hardwood box with a leather-like inset with a Certificate of Authenticity.
